Often it has been observed that poor or people from the lower class of society are more prone to be caught and executed for their crimes in comparison to the people from upper class who either remain uncaught or have various ways to escape the punishment. In an interview Michelle Anderson publicly says that racial discrimination is still active in the American culture and as a result the African American community in the country has been continually forced to live a life in the most under privileged surroundings with the least amount of access to better education, job or quality of life. In addition to all this these people are the most vulnerable to be caught for minor acts of crimes and be put in with serious criminals. This rigid attitude of the criminal justice system with even the young members of such minorities labels them as felons for the rest of their life and takes away any opportunity to improve the quality of their life or for their families (Alexander, 2012).
